How do I order via www.therunawaychef.com?
- Visit our website and go through our daily menu, specially designed for you.
- Click on the dish you like, read the description, and add it to your ‘cart’.
- Confirm and place your order.
- When you are ready to enter your payment method on the checkout page, you will have the opportunity to enter the promotional coupon code.
- Payment can be done online using your credit card, debit card or PayUMoney Wallet. You can also opt for cash on delivery. There are no hidden costs.
How do I confirm if my web order was placed?
Login and go to the ‘My Account. section. Then, click on ‘Order History’ button to see the status of all current and past food orders you have placed.
Also, with every food delivery you place online, you will receive an automated email confirmation to the e-mail address you registered with. If you don’t receive the email, call our customer service number and our executive will help you to verify and confirm the order.
If it’s your first web order with us, and you do not receive a phone call or a message from our end (to confirm the order), it is possible that the order had to be cancelled due to an invalid phone number, email ID or delivery address. In such cases, please contact us immediately.

What if I want to add/remove an item, cancel my order or have a problem with my order?
We will do our best to accommodate any order changes – please call us immediately after you place the order to facilitate it. We can’t cancel your order once we have begun to prepare your meal.
Can I place an order for a later date?
Absolutely! Even during non-operational hours, while checking out, you can choose the date and time of your choice.
What address should I use for placing orders? Can I order for someone else?
The address that you mention has to be where you want us to deliver your order, and from where we can collect the payment (in case of cash on delivery).
In case you want us to delivery to another address (example – you have planned a surprise for a special someone), you need to specify both, billing and shipping addresses clearly while checking out. COD is not possible for such cases. You have to pay online. You also have to ensure that the delivery address is within the list of locations we deliver to.
Do I need to create a new account every time I order (online) from a different location?
No. When you place your first web order, an account with your contact information will be created. When placing future orders, you may add additional addresses and delivery information to your account. All addresses will be stored within your account for ease of use in the future.
Where will my personal information be used?

To which locations does The Runaway Chef deliver?
Currently, we serve in and around a radius of 6-7km of Manyata Tech Park (Hebbal, Bangalore) and specific apartment complexes around. Please check out the delivery locations list on the home page of our ordering site.
When does The Runaway Chef deliver?
We will deliver your meal within 45-mins from the time of your order, subject to these terms – 45min Delivery Terms.
We deliver between 12:30 & 3:30 pm, and 7 & 10:30 pm, on all days of the week. But, you can place your order anytime, by selecting the appropriate date & time-slot while checking out. Or you can simply call us on +91-8088768888 to place your order by phone.
How does The Runaway Chef deliver?
Our friendly delivery executives will deliver your order in a fresh food container, sealed and quality checked by The Runaway Chef.
The pictures that you see on our website are an indication of what you will receive when you order, and the prices are inclusive of all taxes, packaging & delivery costs – visual menu and no hidden costs… so that you can trust us, always.
What do I do about tipping the delivery executive?
The tip goes directly to the delivery executive. So, please be considerate of their efforts.
How do I get my invoice?
Your invoice will be sent to the email address registered with us. In case of phone or orders through partner channels we will request for email address to send the invoice.
Our Refund policy
In case of a disputed payment or if your payment is debited from your account after a payment failure, it will be credited back to you within 7-10 business days, after we receive a confirmation from the bank.
What do you consider as Party/Corporate orders?
We consider the orders with overall quantities above 20 to be Party/Corporate orders
How to select the menu for Party/Corporate orders?
You can order from the regular menu that you see on the website. Or you can email us at [email protected] for our special menu.
Can we select a different dish (that is within this list), which is not on the menu plan for the particular date?
We are sorry – unless it is a party booked a day or two before a particular day, we do not serve any dishes other than the ones available on the website for that day.
Can we select a different dish other than what is available in this sheet?
We are sorry – unless it is a party booked at least two days before, we do not serve any dishes other than the ones available on our website or on our special menu.
By when should a party/corporate order be confirmed?
We would like all party orders to be confirmed by 11 AM the previous day.
This is because we always prepare quantities that are projected by our marketing team based on the demand. We are very conscious of not wasting any food.
Is an advance payment required to confirm the order? If Yes, how much? and by when?
Yes we do require an advance payment to confirm the party order, but it is only 60% of the total order value. It is good enough if it is paid by 11 a.m. a day before the party/event.
